Warren A. Reierson was born November 17, 1918 in Akron, IA to parents Martin and Rika (Dorfmeyer) Reierson. He died March 30, 2006 at Bethesda Nursing Home in Beresford, SD at the age of 87 yeas, 4 months and 13 days. Warren attended school in the Akron area. He married Mildred OConnor on December 14, 1939. The couple farmed in the Beresford area until their retirement when they moved into town. Warren then drove the school bus for the Beresford School District and worked for area farmers. He became a resident at Bethesda Nursing Home in May of 2005 and has lived there until the present time. Warren was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church. His hobbies and interests included playing softball and baseball, hunting, fishing and playing cards. He was preceded in death by his parents, step granddaughter Amanda, and his brother Wilson. His survivors include his wife Mildred Reierson of Beresford, SD; son LaVerl Reierson and his wife Marlys of Arlington, SD; daughter Karen Jensen and her husband Danny of Beresford, SD; 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 4 step great-grandchildren and 3 step great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 10:30AM Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at the Beresford Zion United Methodist Church with burial at Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4PM to 8PM with family present from 7PM to 8PM at Wass Funeral Home in Beresford.
