Warren L. Lounsbery was born January 5, 1912 in Centerville to parents, Claude and Iva (Grimsley) Lounsbery. He died March 5, 2006 at Bethesda of Beresford at the age of 94 years and two months. Warren was raised and educated in the Centerville and Hurley area. On March 10, 1937 he was married to Margaret Ambur in Beresford. He farmed north of Beresford all of his adult life. Warren moved into Beresford in 1999 where he has lived since. Warren is survived by his two sons, Gary (Karen) Lounsbery and Dr. Larry (Lois) Lounsbery all of Beresford; six grandchildren, Ann (Ken) Allender, Julie Lounsbery, Brian (Chris) Lounsbery, Mark Lounsbery, Jason (Jodi) Lounsbery and Stephanie (Scott) Ganschow; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Edward Shorty (Betty) Lounsbery of Sioux Falls; two sisters, Helen Davey of Racine, WI and Miriam Lease of Auburn, WA. Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, six brothers, three sisters, two infant brothers and two infant sisters. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at Beresford Zion United Methodist Church in Beresford, SD with Rev. Jan Gross officiating. Burial was held at the Beresford City Cemetery.
