Funeral services for Treyton Martz will be 10:30AM Friday, Oct. 30, 2009 at Scandia Lutheran Church in Centerville. Visitation will be Thursday from 3-8PM at Scandias fellowship hall with a prayer service at 7PM.

Treyton John Martz was born November 21, 2002 in Sioux Falls, SD to parents Jamie and Naomi (Edberg) Martz. He died following a nine month battle with a brain stem tumor October 27, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family at the age of six years, 11 months and six days.

Treyton was raised in Centerville and was a first grader at Centerville Elementary. He was the second of three boys and liked being big brother to Tucker. Treyton was 100% boy and liked all things outdoors. He enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing with his family. He also liked riding his bike, playing baseball and swimming. Treyton loved life and lived it to the fullest.

His family includes his dad and mom, Jamie and Naomi Martz; brothers, Tyrell and Tucker Martz all of Centerville; paternal grandparents, Laurie (Chuck) Skotvold of Centerville; maternal grandparents, Glenn (Judy) Edberg of Yankton; uncles, Doug (Jamie) Edberg of Centerville, Justin Martz of Centerville, Josh (Alyssa) Martz of Sioux Falls, and Luke Martz of Sioux Falls; aunts, Debbie (Doug) Goodin of Grand Forks, ND, Natalie Edberg of Poughkeepsie, NY; paternal great-grandparents, John (Karen) Stuntebeck of Centerville, Frank (Loranne) Martz of Wakonda and Allen (Kathy) Skotvold of Centerville; maternal great-grandparents, Marcella Edberg of Hartford and Lawrence Husman of Centerville; cousins, Addison Martz, Colton Edberg, Caleb, Cierra, Challee and Cheyenne Goodin and many friends.
