Theodora "Teddy" G. Williamson was born May 17, 1932 in Hudson, SD to parents Gerrit and Anna (Vander Schaaf) Gerritsen. She died August 28, 2012 at Good Samaritan Home in Centerville at the age of 80 years, three months and 11 days. Teddy lived at and attended Rock Valley, IA schools. She was employed at a local café where she met Herman Williamson; they married August 22, 1960. They moved to Centerville where they made their home. Teddy worked at Good Samaritan Home for 25 years. She was also employed with the Centerville Public School system and served lunches. She was a member of Scandia Lutheran Church, Centerville Legion Auxiliary and the National Bowling Association. Teddy enjoyed her family and friends, riding bicycle and bowling. She was an avid Bingo player, had a great love for cats and was a great supporter of the Centerville Tornadoes, the Minnesota Vikings and the Twins. Her husband, Herman, her parents, two brothers and one sister preceded her in death. Survivors include her one son, Garold Williamson and his wife, Louise of Centerville; one daughter, Phyllis Ebsen and her husband, Rick of Vermillion; three grandchildren, Jason Williamson and his wife, Sarah of Lennox, Adam Williamson and Ann Williamson both of Centerville; two great-grandchildren, Kassidy and Colter Williamson of Lennox; and many nieces and nephews, relatives and special friends. Funeral services will be 10AM Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Scandia Lutheran Church in Centerville. Visitation will be 3-8PM Monday at Wass Funeral Home in Centerville with the family present from 5-7PM and a prayer service at 7PM where the family encourages everyone to wear their purple and gold.
