Terrance Joseph Seney, age 78, died Monday, June 6, 2022 at Bethesda Nursing Home in Beresford, SD.

He was born to Albie and Helen (Bruyer) Seney on November 17, 1943 in Vermillion, SD. Terry was baptized at St. Agnes Catholic Church as an infant. He attended Bruyer Country School. On April 2, 1964 he joined the US Army where he proudly served until March 1, 1970 when he was honorably discharged. Terry served two tours during the Vietnam War.

He married Linda Lee Miller on June 15, 1974 in Vermillion. Terry enjoyed his time of employment at Sioux Tool in Vermillion as a machinist. During his free time, he greatly enjoyed sitting and listening to country western music. He was a man with a free spirit that lived one day at a time.

Terry first and foremost loved his children. His surviving children include Darwin Miller of Sioux Falls, who he chose to accept as his own when he married Linda; Travis Lundquist of Winter Springs, FL, Tiffanie (Jody) Cowell of Magnolia, MN, Rhonda Lundquist of Beresford, SD, Stacie (Clint) Jordan of Sioux Falls, SD and Cassaundra (Ben) Rogers of Tea, SD. He is also survived by six grandkids, three great-grandkids, nieces and nephews; one sister, Nancy (Bob) Woodard of Burbank, SD; his brothers, Duane (Karlyn) Seney of Lake Havasu, AZ, Pierre Seney of Billings, MT, and recently, a late brother, Bud Seney of Dixon, CA.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10AM Friday, June 10, 2022 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Vermillion. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial with military honors will follow at 1PM at the South Dakota State Veterans Cemetery in Sioux Falls.
