Shawn DuBois, 61, of Beresford, SD, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Visitation with the family present will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m., on Monday, September 14, 2026, at United Church of Christ in Centerville, SD. His funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, also at the church. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery in Centerville, SD.

Grateful for having shared his life are his father, Dale DuBois of Lennox, SD; children, Emily DuBois of Primghar, IA; son, Seath DuBois of Hospers, IA; stepchildren, Doug (Deb) Lyle of Beresford, SD, Angie (Mike) Wiebers of Sioux Falls, SD, and Billy (Shelly) Lyle of Sioux Falls, SD; grandchildren, Derek (Madison), Gage, Larissa, Kaelyn, Isabella, Kendalyn, Owen, and Knox; great-grandchildren, Quinn and Blair; sister, Verla DuBois of Lennox, SD; and brother, Bruce DuBois of Beresford, SD. Shawn is also survived by many other extended family and friends.

Shawn was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara DuBois; wife, Joannie DuBois; grandson, Zachary Wiebers; in-laws, Gwen & Harlan Nielsen; and sister-in-law, Laurie DuBois.
