Shanna Rae Christensen, age 10, entered the Lords kingdom on April 16, 2007. Blessed for sharing her life are her father and mother, David and Susan Christensen; her sister, Jessica Christensen; paternal grandparents, Gordon and Ardis Christensen of Beresford, SD and maternal grandparents, Vera and Duane Klomps of Goodyear, AZ. Also her aunts and uncles, Wesley Austin of Centerville, SD; Karen Austin of Vermillion, SD; Randy (Kim) Austin of Centerville, SD; Kimberly Austin of Phoenix, AZ and Janet (Kel) McMillan of Hawarden, IA; special friend, Robin Nordquist along with so many relatives and friends who loved her dearly. Her maternal grandfather, Wayne Austin preceded her in death. Shanna enjoyed camping with her family, swimming, sitting on the deck in the sunshine and eating cupcakes. She was a day student at CCHS (Childrens Care Hospital and School) in Sioux Falls where she liked field trips, swimming and computers. For those who were touched by her life, she gave the gift of patience, acceptance and love. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church with the family present from 5:00-7:00 and a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Beresford. Casket bearers will be cousins, Philip McMillan, Jerrod Austin, Travis Austin and family friend, Tim Hermanson. Honorary casket bearers are Wesley Austin, Randy Austin, Randy McMillan, Paul Hoch and Shane Austin. The family requests memorials to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Childrens Care Hospital and School or Sanford Childrens Hospital.
