Scott Jamie Swee was born on January 19, 1974. After a rocky start to life, he found a loving home with the Glen and Chelaine Nelson family until, at age 3, he joined his forever family in Beresford. Scott, known by his family who loved him as Jamie, died March 20, 2024. He is the son of Sheridan and Gail Swee, and loving brother to Heidi (Jeff) Olson, Kelly Swee, and Kerri (Jeremy) Tietgen.
Jamie was a happy little boy who loved playing sports, spending time at the pool, and playing with friends and neighbors. Over the years his love of sports evolved from playing to watching. His favorite college teams were Duke Basketball and Florida State Football (despite the coercing of his siblings). Following games, he loved analyzing every play and player with his dad.
For the last nine years Jamie was a professional driver for PTI Transport where he was always willing to take a shift, and appreciated the kindness extended to him by the crews that he transported.
Jamie was a dreamer who was certain that he had a great business inside him. In life the dreams settled into contentment and appreciation for the simple things. Jamie was a good soul who was kinder to the world than the world was to him. He was more generous than he could afford to all those he knew, but his kindness and generosity were simply who he was.
Jamie was a member of the Crow Creek Tribe. He will be missed by his parents, siblings, his biological siblings, nieces and nephews, uncles and aunts, cousins and friends. A private service will be held to celebrate and honor Jamie's life.
