Sandra loved Jesus and devoted her life to Him.

Sandra Ann Stene was born May 6, 1938 and went to be with Jesus on June 1, 2022.  Sandra was born to John Stene and Pearl (Ronan) Stene. Sandra enjoyed growing up on the Stene farm south of Beresford, SD. Sandra graduated from Alcester High School and then attended school in Sioux City, IA to be an administrative assistant. Sandra worked at the Coliseum Event Center in Sioux City as an administrative assistant and enjoyed her job and social life.

Sandra married David Inberg and together they had two children, Julie Nielsen and Kelly Inberg. David and Sandra farmed for several years. Sandra restarted her career when the kids were in school. Sandra worked at Sioux Steam Cleaner Corporation for several years and worked her way up to sales manager. She took a lot of pride in her job and enjoyed the travel that she was able to do with this career.  Sandra did SD crop surveys for 11 years and enjoyed the challenge and success of getting the farmers to say yes to the surveys, and more importantly getting to know the many farmers. Sandra later enjoyed helping her son Kelly at his car business, Next 2 New.

Sandra's favorite part of life was spending time with her grandchildren, Sterling (Kersten) Nielsen, Chandler (Dan) Jansen, and her new great grandson Emmitt Nielsen. Sandra spent a lot of time with the grandkids and made many road trips to the numerous sporting events and activities that the grandkids were involved in.

Sandra loved gardening and having a beautiful lawn. She grew a lot of vegetables and did a lot of freezing and canning. Sandra was a great cook and always made it look easy. Sandra also kept busy at Roseni Lutheran Church, working on several committees and volunteering. Sandra had many friends and she enjoyed her walks and coffees with those friends.

Sandra is survived by her husband, David; her children, Julie Nielsen and Kelly (Kayla) Inberg; her 2 grandchildren, Sterling (Kersten) Nielsen and Chandler (Dan) Jansen; great-grandson, Emmitt; her brother Dick (Jeanine) Stene and sister-in-law Norma Stene. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, John and Pearl, her brother, Jack Stene, and her sisters Delores Greene and Darlene Nelson.

Sandra will be very missed by her family and friends, however we all have peace knowing that she is healthy and happy with God in Heaven.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 4 at Roseni Lutheran Church, rural Beresford, SD.  Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Friday, June 3 at Wass Funeral Home in Beresford, SD.
