Roy Edvin Deen, age 74, of Alcester, SD died Saturday March 23, 2019 at his home. Roy fought a long and hard battle with cancer. He was born in Quitman, Missouri and attended West Nodaway schools. On June 30, 1964 Roy married the love of his life, Shirley (McCombs) Deen of Pickering, MO.  Shirley survives of the home in Alcester, SD.

Roy was proceeded in death by his mother, Phyllis (Brunk) Deen; his father, Francis M. Deen; Shirley's parents, Viola (Gaskil) McCombs and Leonard (Pete) McCombs; two brothers, Francis M. Deen and Elvin (Gene) Deen; brother-in-law, Jim Grant; Shirley's sister, Ethel Kay (McCombs) Bickert and Shirley's brother, Leonard McCombs.

Survivors Include his wife, Shirley; two sons, Gary (Bonnie) Deen of Alcester and Douglas (Rachel) Deen of Kearney, NE; one daughter, Candace (Mike) Peterson of Beresford, SD; eight granddaughters, Casi, Kali and Marti Jo Deen, Makenzie, Addison and Lilly Peterson, Madison and Brooklyn Deen, and Shayla and Ashaly Fox; two grandsons, Noah Peterson and Tyler Fox.  He leaves three sisters, Evelyn (Delbert) Lininger of Skidmore, MO, Vickie Grant and Cheryl (Mike) Dalsing all of St Joseph, MO, sister-in-law, Louise Deen and brother-In-law, Larry Bickert as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, all of which love him deeply. He will be missed by so many, he is now at peace forever, safely home in Heaven!!!!!

A celebration of life will be June 23 ^rd in St Joseph, MO.
