Roxanne Jolene Tucker was born September 21, 1957 in Akron, Iowa to Jack and Barbara (Boetger) Knight. She died September 4, 2024 near Hawarden, Iowa at the age of 66 years, 11 months and 13 days.

She was raised by her grandmother, Olga (Jensen) Knight in Hawarden where she was raised and attended school. Roxanne was married to Danny Tucker on October 5, 1981. When they lived in Sioux Falls, she worked at Taco Bell on East 10th Street. They moved to Canistota where Roxanne worked as a certified nurse assistant at the Good Samaritan Society for 19 years, retiring in 2021.

Roxanne and Danny loved to spend time together camping and fishing, most recently at Oak Grove Park, north of Hawarden, IA. She enjoyed listening to country music and going to concerts and cherished time spent with her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Grateful for having shared her life is her husband of 42 years, Danny Tucker of Canistota; her children, Dawn VanHooser with Jonathan Thie, Angeleah Tucker and Jon Tucker; step-daughters, Jonelle Collins and Debra Elliot; 24 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Vinnie Gallagher and Michael Knight; two sisters, Michelle Knight and Tina Richter; many cousins and her two fur babies, Buddy and Mia. She is preceded in death by her parents, her grandmother, Olga; her father and mother in-law, Howard and Barbara Tucker; one daughter, Cassie VanHooser-Kleis; one granddaughter, one great-grandson and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be 1PM Monday, September 9, 2024 at Wass Funeral Chapel, 100 W 2nd Street, Alcester, SD. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Alcester. Visitation with the family present will be 5-7PM Sunday at the Chapel.
