Roswell Lauren Hybertson was born November 16, 1937 on the family farm in rural Centerville, SD to parents John and Olga (Opland) Hybertson. He died January 11, 2014 at Pioneer Memorial Nursing Home in Viborg, SD at the age of 76 years, 1 month and 25 days. Roz was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He attended Pleasant Grove rural school, graduated from Centerville High School in 1955, and attended one year of college at Springfield. On June 15, 1957 he married Barbara Jongewaard in Sioux Falls, SD. Roz worked for United Radio for 6 years and then bought the business and changed the name to United T.V. and Appliance. In 1987 he sold the business to Karl's and worked for them until retiring in 2000. Roz is survived by his wife Barb of Centerville; son David of Midlothian, VA; grandson Steven of Victorville, CA; three brothers, Harris (Ramona) and Verlyn all of Sioux Falls, and Ferd (Barb) of Centerville; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter Stephanie, his parents and two brothers, Delmer and Dean. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 15 at Scandia Lutheran Church in Centerville with burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday at Wass Funeral Home in Centerville from 4PM to 8PM with family present from 6PM to 8PM and a prayer service at 7PM.
