Rosa Muller was born October 16, 1925 in Minnehaha County, South Dakota. She died April 1, 2024 at the Alcester Care & Rehab Center in Alcester, SD at the age of 98 years, five months and 15 days.

Rosa was adopted into the family of Robert and Faye (Hiscox) DeRemer and raised on the family farm east of Alcester. She attended Cole Country School and graduated from Alcester High School. Rosa married the love of her life, Albert James Muller, at the United Church of Christ in Alcester on July 30, 1949. Together they raised their two children, Douglas and Kathy.

Rosa helped Albert with his trucking business including delivering hogs to market in Sioux City, Iowa on occasions. She also enjoyed driving kids to and from school as a bus driver for 35 years. Rosa's family will always remember her peanut butter cookies and cheesecake desserts.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert J. Muller; parents, Robert and Faye DeRemer; step-mother, Una DeRemer; and her brother, Raymond DeRemer.

Grateful to have shared her life is her son, Douglas (Tina) Muller of Mosher, SD; daughter, Kathy Henning of Alcester; five grandchildren, Adam (Kerri) Muller, Mindee Muller, Rachel Hedeen (James Kroll), Roy Muller, Nathan (Bailey Steffens) Muller; 12 great-grandchildren, Dalana Jo, Willie, Payton, Gavin, Mason, Adrianne, Ashton, Keilee, Kathan, Douglas, Quinten and Nicole; one great-great-granddaughter, Elaina; many nieces and nephews, and a special person in Rosa's life, Marsha Muller-Driggers.
