Funeral services for Ron Voss of Beresford will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 20, 2006 at Beresford United Church of Christ. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Wass Funeral Home in Beresford with the family present from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Ron Voss was born June 9, 1944 in Beresford, SD to Hans and Edna (Briggle) Voss. He died October 16, 2006 in Canton, SD at the age of 62 years, four months and seven days. Ron went to Gothland rural school and graduated from Beresford High School. He attended the University of South Dakota. Ron was a carpenter for many years before going back to college to get his nursing degree. He worked as a registered nurse most recently for Keystone Treatment Center in Canton. Ron loved to ride horse and share his cooking abilities with his family. He is survived by three daughters, Veronica (Dane) Iverson of Eden Prairie, MN, Melissa (Pat) Bowar of San Antonio, TX and Rebecca (Steve) Weber of Independence, MN; two twin sons, Paydon Jake and Wyatt Michael Voss of Bakersfield, OR; three brothers, Gerald Voss of Beresford, Doug (Lynette) Voss of Alcester and Randy (Renae) Voss of Sioux Falls; one sister, Patricia (Bob) Pendarvis of Garland, TX; nine grandchildren, Stephen, Catherine, Liberty and Andrew Iverson, Nickolas and Becca Bowar, and Madeline, Macallister and Landon Weber; one niece; 11 nephews and a special friend, Ardis Short of Canton. His parents and one infant sister, Linda preceded him in death.
