Richard Norman Menigoz, son of Richard and Denise (Young) Menigoz, was born December 30, 1958 in Chicago, IL. Rich and his family moved to Port Washington, WI in 1972 where he graduated from high school. He continued his education at the University of Wisconsin Stout in Menomonie, WI where he graduated with a bachelors degree in business.
Richs passion was the transportation business. He started working at Consolidated Freightways while attending college and continued with several different trucking companies throughout the years. He was currently employed at Old Dominion Freight in Denver, CO.
Rich married Sherrie Stevens on March 10, 1984. They were blessed with two wonderful children, Jenna and Andrew. They were the pride and joy of his life and he was so proud of them.
Rich loved life and did his best to make the most of it. He had so many great friends in many places. Rich and Sherrie lived in Minnesota, Kansas, California, Texas, North Carolina and moved back to Centerville in 1996 so they could enjoy the small town life and be with family. Rich was an amazing cook and loved relaxing with friends at his vacation home on the river.
Blessed to have been part of his life are his wife Sherrie and son Andrew of Centerville; daughter Jenna of Yankton, SD; parents Richard and Denise Menigoz of Appleton, WI; brothers Robert Menigoz (Christy Norton) of Port Charlotte, FL; Christopher (Sharon) Menigoz of Falcon, CO; sister Kimberly (Larry) Bonneville of Appleton, WI; mother-in-law Delores Stevens, brothers-in-law Allen (Carol) Stevens and Doug (Jan) Stevens, sister-in-law Kristie (Scott) Pingrey all of Centerville; and many dear nieces, nephews and friends.
Rich was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Mary Menigoz, Norman and Irene Young and father-in-law Ernie Stevens.
Funeral services will be 2:00PM, Monday, February 28 at Scandia Lutheran Church in Centerville with burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery, rural Centerville. Visitation with family present will be Sunday from 5PM to 7PM at Wass Funeral Home in Centerville.
