Richard E. Johnson of Alcester passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls at age 88. Johnson was a long-time employee of the State Bank of Alcester, serving as a Loan Officer, Vice-President, and member of the Board of Directors. Richard Johnson was a prominent leader in the community, a distinguished member of the School Board, and President of the Lion's Club. Richard was devoted to the education of young people.
