Richard Boyd DuBois was born February 16, 1944 in Hurley, SD to parents Arling and Esther (Logdson) DuBois. He passed away on March 13, 2016 at Beresford, SD at the age of 72 years.

Dick graduated from Centerville High School and then attended Southern State College in Springfield, SD. He began working at the Southeast Experiment Farm in the summers and for Joe's Fish Market in the winter. He married Linda Shanker in 1970. The couple lived in Centerville, Lesterville and then moved to Beresford in 1981. Dick drove truck for most of his life until ill health forced him to retire.   He enjoyed watching football, playing cards and traveling when he was younger.

Dick is survived by his wife Linda DuBois, Beresford; two brothers, Dale (special friend Connie) DuBois, Lennox and Gary (Debbie) DuBois, Vermillion; two sisters, Donna (Monte) Zuck, Oklahoma City, OK and Dawn (Larry) Hansen, Centerville, SD; four special nephews, Michael, David, Tyler and Shawn; a special niece Erica; and his beloved dog Nannie. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Donald DuBois, a sister Diana Wheatley, and a sister Susie in childhood.

A memorial visitation will be held Friday, March 18, 2016 from 1:30 to 3:30 at Klassix in Beresford.
