Pearl F. Embrock was born October 7, 1919 on a farm near Alcester, SD to parents Charles and Amanda (Larson) Anderson. She died December 21, 2010 at the Centerville Good Samaritan Center at the age of 91 years, 2 months and 14 days.

Pearl attended school in Alcester. She worked on the family farm with her parents doing chores, driving horses while doing field work and anything else they needed help with. She moved with her family to a farm northwest of Beresford in 1941. Pearl married William Embrock in 1946 and the couple resided on a farm in rural Centerville. After William died, Pearl continued to reside on the farm and cared for her son Billy until his death in 2001. Pearl recently became a resident at the Good Samaritan Center in Centerville and has lived there until the present time.

Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, husband William and son Billy.

Her survivors include her relatives, Donna and Duane Sargent of Montana, Ray and Pat Eli of California and Donna Keiser of Beresford; and many neighbors and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11:00AM, Thursday, December 23 at Wass Funeral Chapel in Centerville with burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery, rural Centerville. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the chapel.
