Obituary
Patricia Marie Heggestad was born October 3, 1941 in Sioux Falls, SD to parents James and Violet (Quinn) OConnor. She died March 7, 2010 at her home in Beresford, SD at the age of 68 years, 5 months and 4 days.
Pat attended rural school and graduated from Beresford High School in 1959. She then worked for several years at Otis Radio in Hawarden, IA. She married Larry Heggestad on November 13, 1971. The couple lived in Winner, SD for two years and then returned to Beresford where Pat worked at various jobs. Larry died in 2005 and Pat has continued to reside here until the present time.
Pat was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church where she was active in the Altar and Rosary Societies.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Larry, two sisters and one brother.
Her survivors include two sisters: Janice and Shirley OConnor, both of Beresford; and many other relatives and friends.
A funeral mass will be held 10:00AM, Wednesday, March 10 at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Beresford. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2PM to 5PM at Wass Funeral Home in Beresford and resuming at the church from 6:00PM to 7:30PM with a wake service at 6:30PM.
