Patricia (Pat) Faye Crance was born February 20, 1945, in Faulkton, South Dakota to Baird and Isis (Taylor) Crance.  She died September 1, 2017, at her home in Centerville at the age of 72 years.

Pat graduated T. F. Riggs High School in Pierre, SD and attended Nettleton Business College in Sioux Falls, SD. She married Arnold Abbas, on April 30, 1965.  They spent time in Lake St. Croix Beach, MN before returning to Sioux Falls, SD, where they made their home and raised their son, Eric, and daughter, Karmen.

She worked in law offices, as an elementary school librarian, and as an administrative assistant at the Empire Mall and for the Good Samaritan Society in Sioux Falls.  Pat later moved to Centerville where she enjoyed renovating her farm house, crafting, decorating her home and farmyard for the holidays, volunteering at the school, and watching her grandchildren grow.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and survived by her son, Eric Abbas of Centerville, SD; daughter, Karmen (Abbas) Massey of Wakefield, MA; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Luke and MiKayla Abbas; sister, Barbara (Bob) Filiatreau of Florence, OR; brother, Robert (Janice) Crance of Lee's Summit, MO; five nephews and her very dear friends.

Funeral services will be 7PM Friday, September 8, 2017 at Wass Funeral Home in Beresford. Visitation with the family present will be 5-7PM Friday the funeral home.
