Oliver John Lundquist Jr. was born February 23, 1934 in Centerville, SD to parents Oliver and Opal (Johnke) Lundquist. He died December 27, 2011 at Sanford Health in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 77 years. Ollie graduated from Beresford High School and then served in the United States Navy from 1951 to 1955. Upon returning to Beresford he married Dorothy Lundeen. Ollie worked at Cotton Chevrolet until 1979 when he started his own auto repair business. Ollie married his wife Arlene in1979 and the couple has resided in Beresford until the present time. Ollie was preceded in death by his parents. His survivors include his wife Arlene of Beresford; daughter Julie Hernandez and husband Kenny of Peoria, AZ; his grandchildren Nicholas and Arianna; a brother William Lundquist and wife Laurie of Beresford, a sister Marlene Rosenbaum of Elk Point, SD; 3 step-children, Kirk Martinsen and wife Sandy, Beresford, Michele Martinsen of Sioux Falls and Daryl Martinsen of Fort Worth, TX; 5 step-grandchildren and 4 step-great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 10:00AM, Monday, January 2, 2012 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Beresford with burial to follow at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, rural Beresford. Visitation will be Sunday from 6PM to 8PM with a prayer service at 7PM at Wass Funeral Home in Beresford.
