Nora Anderson was born at home in Centerville, SD August 6, 1921 to Nels and Elizabeth (Andrews) Birkland. She died December 10, 2010 at Pioneer Memorial Nursing Home in Viborg at the age of 89 years, four months and four days.

Nora was raised in the Centerville area attending country schools and graduated from Centerville High School. She married Edwin Anderson September 27, 1940 at Spirit Lake, Iowa. They lived in the Beresford-Centerville area where Edwin farmed.

She attended the Brooklyn Evangelical Free Church, liked reading, sewing and quilting. Nora also enjoyed baking and gardening.

She is survived by her three sons, Pastor Norm (Fay) of Nebraska City, NE, Edwin (Sally) of Mission, TX and Keith (Patty) of Centerville; one daughter, Marlys (Jim) Eggleston of Sturgis; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren and one sister, Karolina Blake of Sioux Falls.

Her parents; husband, Edwin; a grandchild and young sister, Emily, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be 10AM Monday, Dec. 13th at Brooklyn Evangelical Free Church in Beresford. Visitation will be 5-8PM Sunday at Wass Funeral Home in Beresford with the family present from 6-8PM and a prayer service at 7PM.
