Obituary

Nicholas James Miller, 31, passed away on January 21, 2012, from injuries suffered from an accident on January 16, 2012 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls. In death, Nick gave the gift of life by being an organ donor. A celebration of Nick's life will be 1PM Monday, January 23, 2012 at Alcester Baptist Church in Alcester, SD with the family present one hour prior to greet friends. Internment will be at a later date. Nick, as he was called, was born in Vermillion, SD on February 12, 1980 to Teddy L. and Cynthia (Lamoureux) Miller. He was raised in the Sioux City and southern Union county areas. He graduated from Vermillion high school in 1999. He was currently employed at Aladdin in Elk Point, South Dakota. In 2005, he met the love of his life, Jessica. They lived on their acreage near Burbank, South Dakota. They were planning a summer 2012 wedding. Nick was a fun loving, active person. His passions were riding his motorcycle and he was proud of his tattoos, which he won awards for. He loved his family, was a friend to many and would help anyone who needed his help. He enjoyed hours of entertaining his nieces and nephews. He was a caring person and gave of himself to others in many ways. Nick is survived by his fiancée, Jessica Peters of Burbank; a son, Alex of Sioux City, IA; his mother and step-father, Cindy and Pat Enright of Dakota Dunes; his father and step-mother, Teddy and Sue Miller of Alcester; maternal grandmother, Agnes Trudeau of Vermillion; two brothers and their wives, Jery and Missy Miller of Belgrade, MT and Russ and Lori Miller of Beresford; a sister and her husband, Beth and Travis Goeden of Beresford; four step-brothers, Corey Enright of Sioux City, IA, Jarrod and Tiffany Kayser of Ames, IA, Luke Kayser and Brett Kayser both of LeMars, IA; two step-sisters, Andrea and Dawson Stansberry of Sioux City, IA and Marie Kayser and fiancée Matt Reese of Prairie Village, KS; six nieces, one nephew and numerous aunts and uncles. Nick was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dick and Betty Lamoureux; paternal grandfather, Theodore Miller; an aunt, Jeanne Miller; an uncle, Rick Lamoureux; and a step-grandmother, Mildred Hunter.
