Milford Lloyd Larson was born November 15, 1937 on a farm in Clay County to Minus and Esther (Edblom) Larson.  He was the 9 th of 12 children. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, November 6 at Komstad Covenant Church.  Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Thursday, November 5 at Komstad Covenant Church with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM.  If you are not comfortable attending these services, Milford's family fully understands and wishes to thank you for your support and prayers.  Services will be live streamed on Facebook through Komstad Covenant Church.

Milford was raised on a farm west of Beresford, SD where he attended Glenwood School until the 8 th grade when he decided to join the workforce due to "knowing more than his teachers".

He married the love of his life, Mary Jensen, on October 20, 1957.  Together they started their family in rural Beresford, SD where Milford began working at a local feed grinding business.  In 1959, they moved to Chicago, IL where he worked construction with his brother-in-law until 1961.  It was then that they returned to Beresford, SD and Milford began farming.  Due to health concerns, they moved to town in 1987 because their son Tim said "they were old enough to get a place of their own".  This is when his passion for woodworking began.  With his own two hands, he built cabinets for local churches, shelving for local libraries, and fine furniture pieces for many family, friends and other members of the community.  His other interests in life included coaching and pitching fastpitch softball, gardening, singing in the choir and men's quartet, bird watching, playing card games with his grandkids, supporting the Minnesota Twins and Vikings, and watching his children and grandchildren excel in sporting events.  Milford thoroughly loved his trips down to their winter home in Mission, TX.  He would never turn down Mary bringing him a good cup of coffee and fellowship with anyone.  He was an active member of Komstad Covenant Church, serving in many different capacities.

Milford and Mary enjoyed spending time with their five children, Dale, Timothy (Julie), Natalie, Keith (Laurie), and Darin (Nancy), all of Beresford, SD.  He was so grateful for his time spent with grandchildren, Katie, Ben, Cassie (Jim), Olivia, Andy (Jenna), Cody, Alyssa (Kyle), Jed, Wagner (Ruben), Rachel, Gabrielle, Tagyn (Taryn), Jonah, Caleb, Aaron, Matt, and Caitlin (Bryan).  He also cherished his great-grandchildren, Andrew, Taelyn, Allie, Kora, Adaline, Theo, Aisley, Ethan, Kaden and one on the way. Along with his wife and aforementioned family, he is survived by his siblings, Marilyn, Arnie (Betty), Marie, Delores, Karen (Ronnie), and Kenny (Sherry), many nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Milford is preceded in death by his parents, Minus and Esther; his siblings, Mildred, Cameron, Lorraine, Darrel and Ardelle; his daughter-in-law, Marcy; his son-in-law, Steve; his granddaughter, Samantha; 5 nephews; 1 niece; and several in-laws.

When asked towards the end of his life what he cherished most, Milford's response was "God and Family".
