Mildred A. Lindvall was born October 2, 1916 in Granville, Iowa to parents Herman and Frances (Vanderharr) Schnieders. She died January 19, 2012 in Centerville, South Dakota at the age of 95 years, three months and 17 days. Mildred was raised and attended school in Dell Rapids, SD. She worked in Sioux Falls at a bowling lane and Morrel's. She married Evert Lindvall August 16, 1953 at First Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls. They made their home in Centerville where Mildred worked for a time as a nurse aid at Good Samaritan Center. Mildred liked to travel, enjoyed crafts, raising flowers and playing Bingo. She was a member of the Garden Club, the American Legion and VFW Auxiliary and the Eastern Star. Her parents, husband, brothers, Orville, Donald and Elmer Schnieders and sisters, Syra Ahlers, Mary Ann Quinlan and Dorothy Penning preceded her in death. She is survived by her brother, Jerome (Helen) Schnieders of Scottsdale, AZ; sister, Florine Schmidt of Dell Rapids; brother-in-law, Loren Penning of Dell Rapids; two sisters-in-law, Darlene Schnieders of Dell Rapids and Gladys Mudgett of Moorhead, MN; special friend, Helen Johnson of Centerville; and many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services for Mildred will be 11AM Monday, January 23, 2012 at Scandia Lutheran Church in Centerville. Visitation with the family present will be 2-4PM Sunday with an Eastern Star service at 4PM at Wass Funeral Home in Centerville.
