Mike W. Snoozy, 62, of Beresford, South Dakota died December 30, 2016 at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls.

Michael William Snoozy was born March 12, 1954 in Vermillion, SD to William and Letha (Larson) Snoozy. At age 3, Mike moved with his family to Fenton, Michigan where he was raised. He was a wrestler in high school and also excelled at power lifting in which he held some Michigan state records. Following graduation from high school, Mike attended Mott Community College in Flint where he learned auto mechanics.

In 1976 Mike returned with his parents to South Dakota where he worked as a mechanic in Davis, SD. He worked with Craig Bak doing roofing for a number of years. Mike will be remembered for his sense of humor and visiting with everyone. He loved caring for the dogs he had over the years; and he raised a wonderful garden that he enjoyed giving away the produce from.

He is survived by his sisters, Jane (Dan) Waterman of Hawarden, IA and Nancy Johnson of Yankton; brother, Tom Snoozy of Alturas, CA; nephew, Brian Weiland and his fiancé Jess Jones of Beresford; nieces, Becky (Dustin) Sohl and Sadie (Wade) Wiksen of Hawarden and Sophie (Jerid) Wettstein of Beresford; one great-nephew, eight great-nieces and his new Boxer pup, Sherman. He was preceded in death by his parents and by Vick Johnson, his brother-in-law.
