Michael Lee Kieffer, age 60, of Volin, South Dakota died June 27, 2021 due to an auto accident. He was born August 1, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois to Richard and Diana (DuBois) Kieffer. Michael was raised in Centerville, SD where he attended school.

Michael was a truck driver, both over-the-road as well as with local companies while living in South Dakota. He opened and ran several Sales offices through the years while living in California, Arizona, Pennsylvania and Colorado.  He worked with Raymond "Jocko" Makatura for many years in Colorado before becoming an entrepreneur starting Rushmore Marketing in 2014.

In his free time, he enjoyed listening to music, fishing, gardening and spending time with family and friends. He was always the life of the party and enjoyed making people laugh and have fun.

Michael is survived by his wife, Helen Fitzgerald; sons, Tony, Noah and Avram; daughters, Abby and Amalya; step-sons, Trevor and Triston; a half-sister, Darla, Aunts, Uncles, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, David and Pat.

Funeral services will be 10:30AM Friday, July 2, 2021 at Federated UCC in Centerville, SD with burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery, Centerville.
