Mary Lou Thorson, age 92, of Centerville, South Dakota died Sunday, September 22, 2019 at the Centerville Care & Rehab Center.

Mary was born to Oscar and Hattie (Larson) Thorson in the house that she loved and lived in her whole life. She attended and graduated Centerville High School. Mary then spent many years working has a telephone operator. She later had a career change and worked for Minnegasco until her retirement.

When not working, Mary kept herself busy with Scandia Lutheran Church activities and groups. She loved to attend and support the Centerville Tornadoes at all their sporting events. And as if that was not enough, Mary was a beloved grandma to a lot of the kids in Centerville and the area beyond.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents. She has one living cousin, Carol Anderson; and a host of friends she called her family.

Funeral services will be 2PM Friday, September 27, 2019 at Scandia Lutheran Church in Centerville with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Centerville.
