Mary Ellen Myers, age 64 died from diabetes Friday, April 13, 2007 at her home in the presence of her husband and seven children in Centerville, South Dakota. Mary Ellen was born May 1, 1942 in Mitchell, SD to Nicholas and Marie (Murphy) Schaefer. She attended grade school and graduated from high school in Montrose, SD. She married Michael Myers in 1962. They lived in Sioux Falls, SD, Sioux City, IA, Rochester, MN, St. Paul, MN and in Centerville. Motherhood was Mary Ellens profession. Her love for babies was captured recently when she was reminded she always loved babies. Mary Ellens reply was, Yes, they are helpless, they cant make you do anything, but you want to. She is survived by her husband, Michael Myers; three daughters, Mary Beth, Anne and Helen; four sons, Matthew, Nicholas, Michael and Connor; three grandchildren, Graham, Madeline and Peter; her mother, Marie; two brothers, John and Frank; and five sisters, Carol, Dorothy, Debbie, Rita and Janet. Her father, Nicholas and one sister, Judy preceded her in death. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 15, 2007 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Centerville. Burial will follow at St. Patricks Catholic Cemetery in Montrose. Casket bearers will be George Hirschbach, Brent Hirschbach, Greg Naughton, Jack Jasper, Eldon Nygaard, Don Boyle, Dan OBoyle and Norm Wuebben.
