Marvia Jensen, 59, passed away Monday, April 27, 2020 at her home in Centerville, SD.  Due to the COVID-19 related gathering restrictions, Marvia's family will have a private burial now and will host a celebration of life service at a later date to properly celebrate her life with her family and friends.

Marvia Stanley was born on March 19, 1961 in Gary, IN to Marvin and Venice Lucille (Kern) Stanley. She grew up in Merrillville, IN and where she graduated from high school.  After high school, Marvia enlisted in the United States Army. Following her time in the service, she met Thomas Jensen and they moved to Centerville, SD. They married on October 24, 1988. Marvia raised her two stepdaughters, Sherry and Tracy, and then they later had two kids of their own, Lucinda and April.

Marvia is survived by her husband, Thomas, Centerville, SD; her children, Lucinda (Aaron) Johnson, Warner Robins, GA, April (Cody) Sunderland, Brookings, SD, and Tracy Smith, Sioux Falls, SD; her sister,  Gena Berg, Centerville, SD; her brother, Richard Stanley, Fort Wayne, IN; and many grandkids, nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents; 2 brothers; her father-in-law; 2 step-daughters, Tammy and Sherry; and her brother-in-law.
