Marjorie M. Pedersen was born October 4, 1940 in Viborg, South Dakota to parents Arthur and Grace (Hanson) Korslund. She passed away March 1, 2023 at the age of 82 years.

Marge grew up on a farm near Viborg and graduated in 1958 from Viborg High School. She met Gordon Pedersen while working at the Corner Restaurant in Viborg. They were married in August of 1958. Marge worked as a partner with Gordy as a bookkeeper for their business, Gordon Pedersen Welding. They had four children, Chris, Kelly, Angela and Anissa. She lived in Beresford until her death.

She enjoyed spending time with family, cooking, gardening and taking care of her pets. Marge had many dogs and cats during her life. She enjoyed her seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Marge enjoyed going to auctions with Gordy and visiting garage sales. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Beresford.

Her son, Chris; husband, Gordon; parents, Arthur and Grace; sister, Marlene; and brother, Art preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughters, Kelly Solberg (Mark) of Cambridge, MN, Angela Poll (Ed) of Centerville, SD and Anissa Pedersen of Greenbrae, CA; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; brother, Dale Korslund (Alma) of Viborg, SD and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 2PM Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Wass Funeral Home in Beresford. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
