Funeral services for Marjorie Ann (Jensen) Gehle, 78, of Centerville, South Dakota will be 2 pm Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Immanuel Free Lutheran Church, rural Centerville, SD. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Friday, October 11, 2013 at Wass Funeral Home in Centerville with a prayer service at 7 pm. The family requests memorials be sent to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America at alzfdn.org. Marjorie Ann (Jensen) Gehle was born September 17, 1935 in Irene, SD to Nels and Eleda (Knutson) Jensen. She was raised on the family farm near Centerville and attended Midway country school. On September 20, 1957 she married Delain Gehle. Together they farmed near Centerville where they raised their four children. She enjoyed playing piano, singing and embroidery. Marjorie was a member of Immanuel Free Lutheran Church and First English Lutheran Church. She and Delain moved into Centerville in 1996. After being diagnosed with Alzheimers in 2008, she became a resident of the Centerville Care and Rehabilitation Center where she resided until her death. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Delain Gehle; three sons, Larry (Wendy) Gehle of Sioux Falls, Leon Gehle of Lexington, NE, and Roger Gehle of Ferndale, MI; daughter, Jackie (Ray) Wilcox of Sioux Falls; nine grandchildren, Aaron Gehle, Preston (Kristi) Gehle, Trevor Bryan, Kaitlyn Gehle, Jeremy (Kari) Wilcox, Alison Wilcox, Alyssa Gehle, Mariah Gehle and Dalton Gehle; four great-grandchildren, Kinsley, Jaxon, Sydney and Logan. Her parents preceded her in death.
