Margaret Sis Meaddows, age 61, of Centerville, SD died June 25, 2008 at her home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 27th at Centerville United Church of Christ. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Sis was born November 21, 1946 in Burbank, California to parents James and Jeanne (McAthie) Meaddows. She died June 25, 2008 in Centerville, SD at the age of 61 years, seven months and four days. Sis was raised and educated in Lancaster, CA where she spent a lot of time at Warner Bros. Studios with her grandfather. She spent time with her father working on cars. Sis helped her neighbors and babysat her brother, Clark. She moved to Centerville with her mom and Clark following her fathers death. Sis worked for 10 years at Good Samaritan Center as a nurse aid and in physical therapy. She was a library clerk at the USD University Library for 10 years. She will be remembered as a person that loved life. Sis liked camping and traveling, movies and music. She was a great cook and loved to barbeque for family and friends. Survivors include her brother, Clark (Laura) Meaddows of Sioux Falls; adopted sisters, Ardie Lippert and Barbara Dinesen; and aunt, Peggy Wood all of Centerville; nephews, Tyler and Jonathan Leise and great-niece, Aliyah Leise. Sis is preceded in death by her parents.
