Lynn A. Edman was born April 8, 1953 in Sioux Falls, SD to parents Ellsworth and Doris (Amundson) Edman. He died August 12, 2010, of natural causes, at his home in Centerville, SD at the age of 57.

Lynn graduated from Centerville High School in 1971. He worked for his father hauling milk and then held a variety of jobs including working as an LPN at nursing homes and hospitals in the Centerville area. He was currently working out of his home.

Lynn was baptized, confirmed and was a member at Scandia Lutheran Church in Centerville. He was a great athlete in high school and still holds the Centerville High School record in the 100 meter dash. Kinky, as he was known to his friends and family, also enjoyed playing softball with his team, the Chubs. Lynns greatest joy in life was spending time with his friends and family, especially his beloved daughter Maggie, who was the light of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

His survivors include his daughter Maggie Edman of Sioux Falls; two sisters, Linda Pledge and husband Joel of Jackson, TN and Laurie Greenough and husband Steven of Sioux Falls; three nieces, Abby, Bethany and Lindsay; step-mother Shirley Edman of Beresford; and many other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held 2:00PM, Tuesday, August 17 at Scandia Lutheran Church in Centerville.
