Lucille Christine (Jensen) Christensen was carried home in the loving arms of her Savior and Lord on Wednesday morning, December 23, 2009, at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD. She was born in Beresford, SD on November 18, 1915 to Erick and Lily Elsie (Ebsen) Jensen. She was baptized on February 6, 1916 and confirmed on May 4, 1930. Lucille attended Sunnyside School in rural Beresford. She married Ralph Christensen on February 23, 1944. They farmed and raised a family together southwest of Beresford. Ralph passed away February 9, 1975.

Lucille loved her Lord and loved going to church, WELCA and Young at Heart. She loved all her family very much. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph, her son Merle, her parents and two brothers, Clarence and Myron.

Funeral services will be 2PM Monday, December 28, 2009 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Beresford. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-8PM at Wass Funeral Home in Beresford with the family present from 5-7PM.

She is survived by son Marlow (Donna) Christensen of Beresford, daughter Marie (Scott) Aseltine of Sioux Falls and daughter-in-law Deb Christensen of Beresford; grandchildren Dale (Sheree) Christensen, Doug (Darcy) Christensen and Don Christensen, all of Beresford, James (Sheena) Christensen and Laura Aseltine, all of Sioux Falls, special grandson Jordan Wickstrom of Beresford, great-grandchildren Dean, Taylor, Tyler and Kaysee Christensen of Beresford, and many others whom she loved and who called her Grandma.
