Funeral services for Louise Anderson of Centerville, SD will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2006 at Scandia Lutheran Church in Centerville. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5th at Wass Funeral Home in Centerville. A prayer service will be at 7:00 p.m. and the family will be present from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Louise (Christensen) Anderson was born October 30, 1918 in Irene, SD to parents Adolph and Ingeborg (Neilsen) Christensen. She died July 1, 2006 at the Centerville Good Samaritan Center at the age of 87 years, eight months and one day. Louise received her education in Esmond, SD and later moved to the Beresford area. She was united in marriage to Eldon Anderson on December 9, 1939 in Luverne, MN. The couple farmed in the Beresford and Centerville area where Louise enjoyed helping Eldon on the farm with the fieldwork and raising her many chickens. They retired and moved into Centerville in 1983. Louise was a member of Scandia Lutheran Church and was an avid bowler with the Centerville Bowling League for many years. The greatest joy in her life was time spent with her grandchildren. She also had a love for cooking and baking for everyone to enjoy. Because of her ailing health, Louise entered the Centerville Good Samaritan Center in March of 1998. Survivors include her son, Floyd (Kathy) Anderson of Centerville, daughter, Elaine (Jim) Tatge of Sioux Falls; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Troy) Knudson of Centerville, Christopher (Andrea) Anderson of Centerville, Alicia (Chris) Peterson of Brandon and Tim Tatge of Bloomington, IN; five great-grandchildren, Dustin, Kelsey, Courtney and Dallas Knudson and Denver Anderson; and one brother, Merle Christensen of Beresford. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Eldon, four sisters and five brothers.
