Louis Wayne Latendresse went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 30, 2022 at the age of 83.

Louis was born May 5, 1939 to Henry and Ruth (Rhea) Latendresse. As a young boy he delivered papers and later worked as a delivery man. He enlisted in the US Army at the age of 17 and served two years and received an honorable discharge. Upon returning home he began working for Kelly Construction Co.; during that time, he met the love of his life, Joan Sehr, while working in Canton, SD. They were married May 16, 1964 and God blessed them with two children, Mitch and Cindy. In 1970 he began his own business and built many homes and commercial buildings in the surrounding area.

He loved being with his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Louis enjoyed being outdoors, whether hunting with bow and rifle, fishing, or trapping. In 1974 he committed his life to his Lord and Savior. Louis enjoyed going to church and Bible studies where he learned more about his Lord.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joan; son and daughter-in-law, Mitch and Kerri Latendresse and their children, Bethany, Connor, Emily and Anna; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Mark Leuth and their children, Alyssa (Adam) Monen, Taylor Leuth and Collin Leuth; and four great-grandchildren from Alyssa; Aden, Ellie, Izibela and Clara Monen. Preceding him in death were his parents, brother, Walden; sisters, Marjorie Keiser and Betty Hebert.

Funeral services will be 2PM Friday, September 2, 2022 at Brooklyn Evangelical Free Church, rural Beresford. Visitation will be 5-7PM Thursday, Sept. 1 ^st at the church with a 7PM prayer service.
