Loris June Brakke was born in 1933 to Lars and Julia (Larsen) Brakke at Vienna, SD, and died June 19, 2020 at the age of 87. She graduated from SDSU in 1955 with a bachelor's degree in Home Economics. She taught school for six (6) years and was a substitute teacher for twenty (20) years. She was active in church organizations, Chapter EM, P.E.O. and Red Hats. She loved reading and crocheting.

She met her husband Bob at SDSU and they were married in 1956.

Loris June and Bob loved to travel and visited many foreign countries and much of the United States.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Arvin Brakke, and her husband of sixty (60) years, Bob. Survivors are son Kris, of Lexington, NC, son Kurt and wife Maggie of Westford, MA and grandchildren Quinn & Katie.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date, when family members and friends can travel more easily.
