Funeral Services for Lisa Briggle will be held 2PM, Thursday, July 20 at the Alcester United Church of Christ. Lisa A. Briggle was born December 5, 1956 in Hawarden, IA to parents Rod and Patricia (Goodwin) Berg. She died July 17, 2006 at the age of 49 years. Lisa attended elementary school in Alcester. She moved with her family to California and lived there for a short time. She returned to South Dakota and graduated from Beresford High School in 1975. She then attended school in Watertown for two years and later received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of South Dakota. Lisa worked in the Alcester area as a nurse. She married Lee Briggle on September 5, 2001. The couple resided in rural Alcester. Lisa was baptized and confirmed in the United Church of Christ. She enjoyed her job as a nurse and caring for others. She liked to grow flowers, attended many of her childrens activities and was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker fan. Lisa loved to spend time with her granddaughters and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Oscar Berg, June Goodwin, Violet Goodwin and Maynar Goodwin. Lisa is survived by her husband Lee Briggle of Alcester; parents Rod and Patricia Berg of Alcester; children: Nick Sorlie and wife Laura of Beresford, Toni Sorlie and special friend Chris Waterbury of Alcester; and Heath Sorlie of Alcester; grandmother Alice Berg of Alcester; 2 granddaughters: Olivia and Mariah; brother Jerry Berg and wife Teresa of Beresford; step-son Matt Briggle and wife Tracy of Beresford; 2 step grandsons: Isaac and Chris; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
