Linda Ann Sundvold was born February 23, 1947 in Canton, South Dakota to parents Bernt and Adelia (Edson) Sundvold. She died December 11, 2011 at Morningside Care Center in Alcester, SD at the age of 64 years, 9 months and 19 days. Linda attended Elmwood country School in rural Hudson, graduated from Alcester High School in 1965 and attended Nettleton Business College in Sioux Falls. While she was in high school she lived with her grandmother, Eva Edson. She married Frank Hofer in 1966. Linda was a hard worker and had been employed at Iowa Lamb and Coil Craft in Hawarden, IA and at Hope Haven in Rock Valley. Linda was baptized and confirmed at Lands Lutheran Church. She attended different churches throughout her life and loved her Lord. Among her hobbies and interests were gardening, reading and watching TV. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Survivors include her son Shawn Hofer, grandson Michael Hofer, sister Deloris Mihin and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Lands Lutheran Church, rural Canton, with burial to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Alcester. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
