Obituary

Leland Jay Lundt of Alcester, South Dakota, left this earth to meet his Heavenly Father on February 26, 2011. He was born January 12, 1944, to Cato and Harriet Lundt. Jays upbringing on an Iowa farm gave him his passion for buying, selling and feeding cattle. He was preceded in death by his father, Cato.

Jay was privileged to share his life with his wife of 45 years, Pamela Newhouse Lundt and their six children, Jay Thomas (Mary) Lundt, Richard (Cami) Lundt, Kellie (Andrew) Brogan, Jon Lundt, Matthew (Lisa) Lundt, and Daniel Lundt. Jay was the grandfather of 12 grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He is also survived by three brothers and two sisters.

Jay will be remembered for his sense of humor, generosity and positive spirit. His family cherishes the memories of Jays love which was rooted in Jesus faithful love for him.

Visitation at the Wass Funeral Home in Beresford, SD will be held Tuesday, March 1st from 6-8 PM with a prayer service at 7PM. Funeral services will be held at Beresford Baptists Set Free building (213 N 3rd ) on Wednesday March 2nd at 11:00 AM with burial to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Alcester.
