LaVay E. Costello was born July 17, 1915 in Niobrara, NE to parents James and Winona (Keith ) Garvie. She went to be with the Lord on February 27, 2006 at Bethesda Nursing Home in Beresford, SD at the age of 90 years, 7 months and 10 days. On February 18, 1939, LaVay married Delbert Kelly Costello. They shared a loving and committed relationship for 57 years. Kelly died May 3, 1996. LaVay was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers: Keith, Kenneth and Stanley and five sisters: Betty Lu Larsen, Evelyn Molden, Mercedes Dotter, Elaine Melior and Velma Hutcheson. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10AM Thursday, March 2 at Wass Funeral Home in Beresford with burial following at the Yankton Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to services.
