Larry Dean Young was born March 13, 1945 in Beresford, South Dakota to Harold and Margaret (Bachman) Young. He was the youngest of seven children. Larry went to Gothland School until 8 ^th grade and continued his education at Beresford High School. He attended college at South Dakota State University and was in the ROTC. He got drafted into the Army in 1967 and served in Vietnam until his return in 1968.

Larry and Corinne (Edman) were married on December 16, 1967 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. He farmed with his brother George for 32 years. Larry and Corinne have lived on their current farm for 49 years. His favorite pastimes were gardening, planting flowers, wood working and milling around on the ranger with Dexter in the back.

Larry is survived by his wife, Corinne; two daughters, Sheri (Daryl) Zweifel and Kim Goblirsch; eight grandchildren, Rebecca Donnelly, Randy (Hayli) Zweifel, Ryan (Lexee) Zweifel, Reilly (Billy Jones) Zweifel, Parker Goblirsch, Kennedy Goblirsch, and Jake Goblirsch. Three great-grandchildren: Nevan Donnelly, McKendra Donnelly and Lettie Zweifel. Three siblings: Marge Hansen, George (Bonnie) and Bob Young.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Merrill Johnson; brother, Donald Young; sister and brother-in-law Joyce and Myron Larson; sister-in-law Diane Young; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ardis and Vernon Edman; sister-in-law Debbie Edman; grandson, Peyton Goblirsch.

Funeral services will be 2PM Monday, May 2, 2022 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Beresford, SD. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service at the church.
