Obituary

Larry L. Lounsbery was born January 30, 1944 at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to parents Warren and Margaret (Ambur) Lounsbery. He entered into eternity on November 29, 2021 at home at the age of 77 years, nine months and 29 days.

Larry was a member of Set Free Baptist Church in Beresford, where he served as a board member and attended men's Bible study. He married Lois Nelson on August 10, 1968. They celebrated their 50-year anniversary in 2018 and he retired after 50 years as a mixed practice veterinarian in 2019.

Larry thoroughly enjoyed the clients and their animals with whom he worked. He also loved the time spent with family, especially his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gary.

Among those who survive and gratefully shared his life are wife, Lois; two children, Jason Lounsbery and his wife Jodi, and Stephanie Ganschow and her husband, Jesse Wipperling; five grandchildren, Emma Lounsbery, Ellie Lounsbery, Madelyn Ganschow, Joshua Ganschow, and Meredith Ganschow; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

Acts 4: 11-12 "…This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

A Celebration of Life will be 2PM Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Set Free Baptist Church in Beresford with visitation one hour prior to the service. The family requests memorials be made to Set Free Food Ministry at setfreeberesford.faithlifesites.com or to the charity of your choice.
