Kimberly Klostergaard, 57, of Aberdeen, SD, formerly of Beresford died unexpectedly April 21, 2019 in Sioux Falls at the age of 57 years. Being an organ donor, Kim helped to save several lives.

Kim was raised in Beresford where she was baptized and confirmed at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Following her graduation from Beresford High School she received her Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education from Dakota State College at Madison, SD. She taught at Hartley, IA and Sheldon, IA for several years. Kim got her Master's Degree in Educational Psychology and Counseling from USD in Vermillion and was a counselor at Aberdeen Central High School. Kim has been with Monumental Sales, Inc. since May 2011; working at Aberdeen Monuments.

She loved her pet dogs, Sassy and Karmel Anne. She enjoyed to travel and photography.

Her father, James M. Klostergaard preceded her in death.

She is survived by her mother, Eleanor Klostergaard of Beresford, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be 10AM Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Beresford. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. The family requests memorials to the charity of your choosing.
