Our Savior Jesus Christ has destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel. Let us remember with thanksgiving what God has done through His servant, Kevin. Kevin Hamilton was given life by his creator and was born on July 31, 1962, the adopted child of Wayne and Lorraine (Barinsky) Hamilton. On December 30, 1962 he received the gift of Holy Baptism and became a child of God. On June 6, 1976 he publicly confessed his faith and was confirmed. He received the precious gift of the Lord's life-giving body and blood.

God blessed Kevin's life with many special people as he served God in his vocations at home, church, work, and in the community. Following his graduation, Kevin farmed and worked as a welder at Alkota Cleaning Systems in Alcester. In his younger years, Kevin enjoyed playing darts and he won several arm-wrestling events. He was a fan of ice hockey and would travel to see the Sioux City Musketeers.

Finally, on December 24, 2025 God blessed Kevin with a holy death and took him home to rest in the arms of Jesus to await the resurrection of the dead, having lived in this life 63 years, four months and 23 days. Kevin is preceded in death by his parents. Grateful for having shared his life are his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00AM Friday, January 2, 2026 at Peace Lutheran Church, 309 East 2nd Street, Alcester, SD 57001. Visitation will be 5-7PM Thursday at the church with a 7PM prayer service.

The Lord gives and the Lord takes away; blessed be the name of the Lord. We give thanks to God our Father through Jesus Christ, our Lord, for our brother in Christ, Kevin.
