Obituary

Kensley Lee Bratzel, 38 of Alcester, SD died June 30, 2009 at Sanford Health in Sioux Falls following a courageous battle with cancer. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM Monday, July 6th at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Beresford. Visitation will be Sunday from 1-5PM at Wass Funeral Home in Alcester, continuing from 6-8PM at the church in Beresford with a prayer service at 7PM.

Lee was born April 14, 1971 in Sioux Falls to Kenneth and Midge (Roitsch) Bratzel. He attended Christ the King and OGorman schools. Lee graduated from Southeast Vo-Tech and worked as an automotive mechanic at various car dealers in Sioux Falls and at Sears. He also worked in Centerville as a mechanic before opening his own business, Alcester Automotive. Lee was proud of his business that he operated from 1999 thru 2003. Recently he was working towards his bachelors degree in business with the University of Phoenix.

Lee married Sherri Farley August 15, 1992 in Beresford. He enjoyed being outdoors; whether camping, fishing or hunting, especially bow hunting; working on cars and following the San Diego Chargers. Lee was most proud of his sons, Kody and Kade. He cherished all his time with his family.

Lee is survived by his wife, Sherri and boys, Kody and Kade Bratzel all of Alcester; parents, Kenneth and Midge Bratzel; sister, Melissa Bratzel; special niece, Samantha Bratzel all of Sioux Falls; in-laws, Tom and Linda Farley of Beresford; grandmother-in-law, Marge Hustrulid of Adrian, MN; brother-in-law, Chris (Amy) Farley of Beresford; sisters-in-law, Holly (Collin) Lacher of Sioux Falls and Randi (Mike) Murphy of Harrisburg; nieces and nephew and Lees friend, David Trame of Dayton, OH.
