Kenneth "Kenny" Voegeli, 84, passed away July 14, 2015 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls. His friends and family surrounded him as he quietly entered into the Kingdom of Heaven. Kenneth George Voegeli was born February 3, 1931 in Beresford, SD to George and Hertha (Stusse) Voegeli. He married Gwynneth Stalheim January 15, 1954 and they lived northeast of Beresford. Ken farmed and drove children to and from school for the Beresford and Dakota Valley School Districts for over 54 years until poor health forced his retirement. He loved working outside, riding his motorcycle, camping and woodworking. His thoughtful creations, from bears and airplanes to yard decorations and wind chimes, grace the shelves and yards of those that were fortunate enough to receive them. Spending time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous friends was also something Kenny enjoyed doing. Whether attending a church gathering, a family reunion, a birthday party or a holiday celebration, Kenny's smile would brighten the room and his infectious laugh would bring joy to all who heard it. He and Gwynneth moved into Beresford where they lived until she died in 1996. Ken married Joan Ketelson and they lived in Sioux City, IA. Following her death in 2009, he lived in McCook Lake, SD until moving to the Centerville Care and Rehab Center this February.
