Kaydence Marie Nygaard was born June 17, 2004 to Josh and CoDee (Spoonemore) Nygaard in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She died December 9, 2023 due to injuries sustained in an auto accident at the age of 19 years.

Kaydence was raised in Centerville, SD where she went to kindergarten and first grade. She continued school in Beresford where she enjoyed drawing and painting. Kaydence liked having Starbuck's coffee with her friends. Her favorite holidays were Christmas and Independence Day. She liked camping and fishing with her family. Kaydence graduated from Beresford High School in 2022.

Kaydence had worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant at the Centerville Care & Rehab Center. Her sister, Hailey, will remember Kaydence's sense of honesty. The light of her life was her daughter, Lakelynn.

She is survived by her parents, Josh (Nicole) Nygaard and CoDee (Jesse) Mullinix; sisters, Hailey Corbin and Adyson Nygaard; brothers, Collin Treloar and Jace Nygaard; grandparents, Doug (Carol) Nygaard, Rodney (Bonnie) Spoonemore and Susan Treloar and James Lewis; several aunts and uncles, many cousins and special friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10AM Sat., Dec. 16, 2023 at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Beresford. Visitation will be 5-7PM Friday at the church with a prayer service at 7PM.
