Laura June Hult was born June 8, 1930 near Beresford, SD to parents Roy and Pauline (Tieman) Gruntman. She died May 9, 2009 at the Good Samaritan Center in Centerville, SD at the age of 78 years, 11 months and 1 day.

As a young girl, June moved with her family to Stewardson, IL where she attended Trinity Lutheran School. Her father died in 1935 and her mother and siblings moved to Centerville, SD in 1945. She married Wallace Hult on June 24, 1950. June worked for many years at the Good Samaritan Center in Centerville. Wallace died in 1994. June suffered a stroke in August of 2003 and moved into the Good Samaritan Center and has resided there until the present time.

June was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was currently a member of First English Lutheran Church in Centerville.

Junes survivors include three sons: Eugene Hult, Vermillion, James Hult, Centerville, and Norm Hult and wife Jackie, Tea, SD; daughter Elizabeth Lamas, Minneapolis, MN; three sisters: Lucille Malmaquist, Braham, MN, Elaine Wathier, Centerville, SD, Lois May Wirth and husband Arthur, Viborg; brother Ray Gruntman and wife Joyce, Cattelville, MO; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers-in-law.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 14, 2009 at First English Lutheran Church in Centerville with burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery, rural Centerville. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
